It was Schlabach at ESPN. I was hoping for a looooww ranking to start '08 to place that chip on the team's collective shoulders.

I think the team is going to hear plenty of belittling and downgrading in 2008. They have to with the BCS record and the love fest for USC and SEC is only going to make respect harder and harder to earn...

What about USC and LSU? Are they losing alot of people?

LSU loses a lot of players. They will still be top 10 though imo. USuC will be 1 or 2 in AP. The media loves them.

I'm not sold on sc without Booty, yet. I think a lot of pundits feel the same way. LSU is losing Flynn, Doucet, (the almighty) Dorsey, Hester and a few others that count. I'm a little surprised that tOSU isn't ranked higher. I still don't see the big tenleven returning to any real prominence next year and they have a LOT of solid players back.

TECK at 12?? That's bold.

Tech returns 10 starters from the nations best offense and biggest O-line last year..Im not surprised by that ranking. They won 9 games this past year with a young team and they have the best WR-QB combo around right now.
Of course an injury or two can derail that #12 ranking. It seems like Tech players never get hurt!

Yeah, I hadn't read the teck summary until after I posted. Didn't know that they had the entire o line back.

Big 12- conference of the quarterback! I never thought I'd say that ten years ago-
Bradford
McCoy
Daniel
Reesing
Harrell
Hell, even Z Robinson.

Our conference has a chance to have all 6 in the top 20 of qb eff. rating next season.

If history repeats its self then Oklahoma did make the championship game during the season of 03-04 and 04-05. The final outcome may not have been what we expected but we shall see. With OU playing Kansas and Texas back to back, that could put us over the top, considering the last time a SEC team went undefeated was auburn during the 05-06 season .... and oh ya who was number 1 and 2 ??? usc ou. I just think that usc losing there qb will hurt them, I also think they are the most overrated team ever to exist. bottom line is the SEC is to hard to go undefeated in.

The NCAA would never allow it. ;)

Neither will Georgia QB Matthew Stafford. He always has one or two games where he plays really bad. See South Carolina and Tennessee this year.

Our d-line will be fine. They forgot who plays running back behind Hester and who started the SEC Champeenship game. ;)

It's an even year, so we'll slip up somewhere. I can't see it being UGAly at home, though.
