This thread is mainly designed to serve as an opportunity for us to remember those potential Sooner greats who, for whatever reason, never panned out. However, if you actually do know "whatever happened to [blank]" then please fill us in.

The "other" Selmon brothers?

One of the Selmon "girls" taught English at Northwest Classen in the early '70s. My brother thought she was a good teacher until he found out about her brothers.... then she became great.

Bomber grad here myself, class of 99. I also wanted maxwell to do well. Him and TRRW would have been the best two safeties in the country had maxwell stayed. Anyone know what Rodney Rideau is up to nowadays? I think he still plays for the patriots, but I dont see him on the roster.

Hey noose: While growing up in MWC, did you ever hear about the biggest loss in Bomber history? Just curious.

OUDL
2/25/2004, 09:46 AM
hey wishbone, i didn't hear about it, why dont you tell us since you look like you are going to anyways :), its too bad that mwc has gone down hill since oh about 97. eh, thats the way it goes. IMO the biggest loss was the 99 season, 3-8 first loosing season in something like 50 years. that was the biggest loss.

Pee Wee Woods

He played for the Tulsa Talons in AF2 for part of a season, the year before last, I think. He was getting abused there (opponents were literally throwing at him almost every play) just like he did at OU, and he didn't last the whole year.

Which loss? That could be a long list, specially the way they have been playing lately.. :0). Yea, I think our biggest loss ever would be to PCO back in like... mid 1950's.. score was like 56-0 or something. And yes, I was on the team from 96-98, so yea, we have been down. Talent pool has also been strained quite a bit, besides the fact we had a guy in charge who wasn't the best head coach in the world. Bombers should be up for a championship this coming season and next though. THey had the best offense in the state this last season, with a bunch of sophomores and juniors. Defense was a big weakness. It sounds wierd to say the Bombers needed a defense, but gotta face the truth. I tell you what though, Stoops should look there for a fella named Laron Moore at QB. He is only a soph this year, but he had about close to 1400 yards rushing. he had a good passing arm too. It was like watching Mike Vick. With that, and the fullback running for 1000, and the tailback about 1200 or so, there wasn't much need to pass the football. Hell, just recruit the entire Bomber Offensive backfield. Lol. But, wishbone, what loss were you refering to?

He's now an assistant S&C coach for OU.
