That, in my opinion, is a gift to us. The way we played in the bowl, I'm surprised we are in the top ten.

7th for Kansas is a joke. 5 or 4 atleast. The only team in the top 25 with 1 loss. (shut up hawaii.)

Florida should have fallen much further too.

Georgia number 2? Why? Because they got to play an abberation in their bowl? They proved nothing. USC, WVa, Kansas deserve number 2 way more.

Four teams in the top 10 from the Big 12.

And why is Michigan rated lower than Florida?

4 teams in the top 10 ='s best conference in football.

All things considered..... A top 10 finished, Big 12 Championship, and wins over okie lite and tejas is a great season.

B/c Michigan wasn't rated at all when the game took place.

Good year for the Big 12, we are the only team that didn't win our bowl game from the Big 12(top 25).

It's a body of work vote.

MU deserves to be ranked higher IMO based on the entire season. Our good is better than their good. But our bad stinks to high heaven. Theirs.....not so much.

It's worth noting that only 5 votes separated 4th from 6th place. Mizzou could have easily ended up sixth.

If you would have told me at the beginning of the season that we would win the Big 12 and that two teams from the Big12 North would finish ahead of us, I would have thought you drank too much kool-aid.

If you would have told me that we'd give up 224 yards and 3 TDs during a 6 play stretch in our bowl game I would have entered my 12 step program BEFORE the game.

1) LSU
2) USC
3) WVU - They finished awesomely and 1 of their losses was without QB, the other was a great game at South Florida.
4) KU
5)...who cares about the rest

Still surprised a bit that we finished as high as 8. Would not rank Mizzou over us even though, like others said, their losses are better than ours. We beat them twice.

Ohio St? Weak schedule was proven.

Missouri AHEAD of OU because their losses are better? What about wins?We beat the Tigers twice in games that were not close and we beat #10 UT.Missou has a win over KU and a win over UNRANKED Arkansas, while we lost to Top 10 WV.

While I think we definitely should be ranked higher than MU I would prefer to be the Big 12 champs even losing a bowl game over not being the conference champs while winning the bowl game with only one exception...the situation in 2003.

5 years from now you will have the National Champ (LSU) and the conference Champs (OU). No one is going to really care too much who is 4th and who is 8th in the final poll.

i count 4 big12 teams in the top 10 - 5 in the top 22.

i also count 5 sec teams in the top 25, with only 2 in the top 10 (yeah, they're #1 and #2).

wow, the big12 totally sucks.

Everyone who is wondering why Mizzou is ahead of us needs to take a step back and think.

Polls are based on the what have you did for me lately mentality. Always have been, always will be. Everyone knows this. You know this.

We got absolutely and completely embarassed in all aspects of the game against WV. Mizzou dominated a SEC team who beat LSU, has the best player in the country, and who the media generally thinks is a good team, even if they are not ranked.

Is it really a mystery as to why they are ahead of us? I think not.

And, in practical terms, they have two losses. We have three.

As far as I'm concerned, if Mizery is going to be rated ahead of OU, then Kansas should be rated ahead of of Mizery! ;) Just call it poll logic! :D
