Today, the President visited the building next to where I work. Along with his visit, the nuts seem to come out of the sewers. I took the following pics, to give a sense of the atmosphere surrounding this event. The most obnoxious were the Code Pigs (or is it Pink?)

Some of the crowd (they were forced to stay on a narrow sidewalk, in front of the Monadnock Building:

Shortly afterward, the President's limo exited the alley between my building and the Union League Club to return to O'hare. All the nuts faded back to where ever they came.

It really is interesting to watch these events - the sights, sounds, signs, and nuts. I still get goose bumbs watching the Presidential Limo go by with the police escorts and the black Suburbans with the gun-toting security detail close behind.
