My 97-year old grandma talks about her mother being scared of tornados during the winter. She remembers at one point that the children were told to seek shelter in the storm cellar and they were like, but mom it's snowing!

In my life time, I don't remember weather like this. But, I'm not so sure now what is normal. Better to be safe, I guess.

Unlike hurricanes and OU football, tornados are a year round phenomenon.

I'm having to keep a close eye on the weather now all of a sudden. Seems like these storms have built back toward the Okmulgee area. I live in far East B.A. toward Coweta. No wind yet, but we've had tons of lightning and thunder and some rain.

Obligatory post....'cause you know...it's a weather thread.

I've been watching this stuff while I was at work today. Looks like some places in Missouri really got 'tore up. So far, I've heard of one confirmed fatality.
