What variety of Milk do you drink? I usually stick with Whole Milk(or as my mom calls it, high test), but occasionally get 2%. I'm hopeful that raw milk will be legalized for sale again soon, so I can start drinking it on a regular basis again.

I drink skim. It's come a long way since I was a kid, especially Braum's skim.

1%, except sometimes in my coffee it's half & half.

I love milk as much now as I did when I was a kid

I must also chime in that besides breast milk, Braums fat-free is just about the best tasting.

Whole milk.

Preferably the Horizon brand, which IMO tastes better than most other milk. (And no, I'm not placebo-ing on the organic part -- I find it tastes better than other organic brands too.)

Cows milk isn't very good for you...especially raw.

It's hard on your digestion.

The amount of red meat I eat will kill me way before the milk does, so I'm going to go ahead and not worry about it.

Whole milk is apparently around 3.5%.

Were you drinking it directly from the udder?

That may be why they quit allowing you to have your fill. ;)

On a serious note what do they do to make it skim or 2%? Whats the difference? But when I put it in my breakfast I want it whole.

Whole milk is apparently around 3.5%.
Pretty much the same difference as 3.2 and "6 point" beer.

When we are coming through Braums territory, we will pick up a gallon of 2% on the way home. When I worked in Dallas I would stop in Hillsboro every week and pick some up. We bought two gallons when we left OKC on Christmas Eve headed out to West Texas, her family (that hadn't been here and tried it when we had some) loved it.

If we don't have Braums in the fridge, I buy the Promised Land Dairy (http://www.promisedlanddairy.com/) milk since it tastes the closest to Braums that I have found. Up until recently all were still in glass, now the quart is the only one in glass.

Braum's milk does not taste "better," it tastes weird. Somewhat like powdered milk, in fact, which makes sense because it's 33% reduced, according to their website. Why anyone would want their milk reduced is beyond me--but whatever floats your boat.

Anyway, 2%, any non-Braum's will do.

I would like to point out that dairy milk has an FDA-approved tolerance for pus.

Just throwin' that out there.

Worked our way down from whole, to 2%, to 1%, to skim. I'm glad we did. My teenager drinks about a gallon a day. He would be one fat mofo' if we hadn't made the switch several years back. All that friggin cow pus and fat can't be good for you! :D
