It may be the greatest game I have ever played. I am almost done with it now.

I have, and it's fantastic. Greatest use of HD in a game released so far, in my opinion. Sound, level design, art design, story...it's just a great, great game.

I'm playing it, but haven't gotten too far yet. I'm in Neptune's Lair. Most of my gaming time has been on Guitar Hero III lately. :O

System Shock 2 and Deus Ex were better.

I think you got some nostalgia in your argument there, NP. They were great games for their time, and one might argue that Bioshock is merely an evolution of those games, particularly System Shock. However, I truly believe that the art, design, sound, setting and story of Bioshock trumps System Shock in every category, including building an immersive world to explore.

If you are looking for games like this to tell a story, and I am, then Bioshock just had more tools and used them more effectively than almost any other game before it. Hence - Winnar.

I disagree. Its a very good game, but I believe Donkey Kong is better.
