I remember it as a land-mark on my way to Grand Lake from OKC as a kid. I didn't realize that Elvis and Nixon had stayed there until they began to tear it down.

I nevar visited the Camelot as it was closed before my time I think... if not before I'd have any memory of it, but that area of town definitely isn't the same without that old ghost.

You gotta love Linda Soundtrack!

I used to shop at Spectrum next door for vintage Hawaiian shirts to wear to the Joyce Martel shows at The Brook!

I used to live in an apartment building behind the last of the Sound Warehouses. I saw Newschannel 8 chief meterologist Frank Mitchell accosted by a homeless guy one day when he was trying to go buy him some tunez. :D

Tearing down that old eyesore is probably the best thing Tulsa has done in over a decade.

But we have the ginormous glass toilet-paper roll sitting on its side to look forward to. Just think, very soon now, the sweet sounds of "My Heart Will Go On" will be trilling among the rafters.

I have a question though, why did the BOk arena/coliseum/objectd'art precede river development? Always seemed to me they got that backwards.

I haven't been to an amusement park in OKC since they closed Springlake. Springlake was the bomb.
