View Full Version : Things that are difficult to do with back pain

Feel free to add your own. This is not an all-inclusive list.

-Lean over to spit out toothpaste.
-Push that half committed fart on out.
-Paperwork after bathroom duty. (I didn't realize just how far my butt was until I couldn't reach it. Mix in the 'clenching' from pain as you attempt to reach it and you just might not get that paper back)
-punch OCUdad in the spleen

For the record, never wake up with back pain around the holidays 3 states away from your regular chiropractor.

Sorry about your back pain, SAS. You should be able to talk your wife into doing the paperwork for you.

2. driving...reaching for the gas and brake pedal
3. finding the correct position for sex

You can lead backpain to water, but you can't make it drink. You can't teach old back pain new tricks.

Stay away from the heating pad. Use ice instead. Take some 'spensive ziplock bags, mix rubbing alcohol and water, double bag it and freeze it. Makes a great icepack.

I already have a gel icepack.

20 minutes at least 4 or 5 times a day.

I would imagine the twist would be hard to do.

I hope your back feels better soon.

Sorry about your back pain, SAS. You should be able to talk your wife into being on top while you recover.

I always had success with getting out and walking. Yea, it hurts like hell. But it will give you another excuse to get liquered up and not feel guilty about what your relatives think.

Apparently making pathetic sissy-boy self-pitying posts on the South Oval is NOT one of the things that are difficult with back pain.

srsly - feel better soon, sas

Putting on clothes, like panties, jeans, stockings...ouch.

Leaning into the mirror to tweeze my eyebrows.

Picking up your kiddos.

Twisting and pulling the car door closed once you sit down in the car. And just getting in and out of the car hurt me.

I get some of the bathroom issues but I won't add to them.

I was OK with the sneezing till I had surgery. Then it hurt bad.

And I am pretty much all better now, and I am very thankful!

Get out of bed in the morning.

Having to roll out and hit the floor is not a fun alternative. :O

Sciatic pain makes me happy.

It makes me reconsider my theory that emotional pain is worse than physical pain.
