A Sooner fan, despondent after tonight's loss is contemplating taking his life. As a last resort, he calls the Mental Health Hotline. As it happens, he gets connected to an outsourced answering service in Pakistan and speaks to a fellow named Hassan.

Hassan: "Hello, this is Hassan. What troubles you? How may I help?"

Sooner: "My Sooners lost again, I'm very depressed and there seems no way out for me."

Hassan: "So........you are feeling depressed?"

Sooner: "Yes. I want to end it all. I can't take it anymore."

Hassan: "So, you're depressed, you feel that you have nothing to live for and you want to commit suicide.?"

Sooner: "Yes, that's right. I don't want to live!"


Hassan:[pause] "So then, tell me..........can you drive a truck?"

Yes it was funny. Try getting a sense of humor.

No one feels worse about last night than our players and coaches. Their the ones who give the blood, sweat and tears in real time. But instead of bit*hing about the game I try to see some humor and move on. If I have any constructive criticism to offer I'll send a letter to Castiglione.

Those who wish to vent on this board may do so though because last I knew this was still a free country.

I am as disappointed about that loss as anyone but college football is supposed to be fun. Thank God some people still have a sense of humor.

P.S. Of course I'd think differently if my name were David Boren or Joe Castiglione and I had to try and go out to raise money in the months to come. Hee, hee and hee.

The only thing funny about that night happened on the WV sideline. The WV players Dingle & Berry sitting next to each other on the bench with their names on the backs of their jersey. I was laughing & crying at the sametime.
