Petrino's not coaching in this game; the future Texas A&M defensive coordinator is the interim coach and about 75 percent of the coaching staff is headed to Ole Miss. But you wouldn't know it the way the Hogs have started out, especially having already tried one trick play early on.

That's why I've never been a big proponent of the spread offense. To me, to win ballgames, you have to run the ball down the other team's throat. Sure, you can air it out, but in the end, it comes down to being more physical than the other team, and running the ball effectively is a big part of that.

It's LSU's wet dream that SUC struggles against Illini. For that reason alone I hope for a Rose Bowl blowout, and also to stick it in the eye of the "traditional" Rose Bowl Big10/Pac10 matchup pickers.

Any event that rubs more dirt on the LSU/tOSU "Championship Game" is fine with me. :)

Arkansas placekickers, for over the past 20 years, have relatively been the succ. Even Kendall Trainor, who became an All-American PK in '88, had a succy start that year before rebounding.
