Anyone know? I can't find any old Iowa rosters like our fine www.soonerstats.com site shows for us. :)

There is a shop on 39th in Bethany that has a framed copy of the picture that is signed by both of them.

I've got that picture framed. Looks great. That's why I was wanting to verify that is indeed Bob Stoops and not some other Iowa guy.

i'm gonna give Billy that one. Coach is out of that play.

notice the crown on the field, it cuts right off at Gary Gibbs knees.

I saw Stoops play at Michigan Stadium but didn't know anybody on the roster.
I had been transferred to Columbus from Michigan and after one season of hearing about nothing but the Buckeyes, wrote to Michigan ticket office in the spring to check on getting tickets to a game. I picked Iowa and got tickets in Row 4 at the 5 yard line. Lousy seats but Anthony Carter caught a TD pass right in front of me in double coverage. I took a picture but can't find it. Don't know if Stoops was on the coverage. Michigan lost; Iowa went to the Rose Bowl.
The rest of the story, is Stoops and I ended up in Oklahoma, coaching and cheering for the Sooners.

Everyone's head was bigger in the 1970's. ;)

Maybe someone else remember better. But I think it had to do with Rhodes having concussions and so that was basically a concussion helmet.
