The good news:

A Big 12 team hung half a hundred on a 8-spot higher ranked Pac 10 team in their bowl game on the West Coast.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA:D

The bad news:

It was ... well, you know who.

:texan:

Just sayin'.

Ya, but even more good news, the Whorns looked like crap in the game too. Fumbling all over the place, delay of games, Chris Jessie...so not only did the Pac 10 team lose, they lost to a team that played very sloppy

The other good news:

UT has 7 10-win seasons in a row and are 2-5 against the good guys in that span. Perfect SOS fodder for OU.

even better, 7 10 win season in a row, but with only one big 12 championship in those 7 years, and only 2 big 12 south titles 10 wins may get you prestige, but i'll take 5 big 12 championships and 6 big 12 south titles in the last 8 years, over 7 10 win seasons with only 1 conference championship to show for it

Best news of all...Texass will get a load of respect, the conference will look better, and then we'll crush their dreams when we beat them next October and our SOS will be fantastic when they beat everyone else in conference.

Was anyone really surprised by this outcome tonight? I mean... really?

I can't believe some people thought ASU would win.

Can't say I was disappointed with the outcome tonight, even though it was the 'horns doing the whipping. I am SOOOOOOO tired of hearing all that "SEC & Pac-10 are head & shoulders above everybody else" junk.

More good news: Duane Akina probably going to be around next year.

Best news possible. :texan:ExactlyAny time the 4th best team in the Big 12 can beat Pac-10 co-champs and look good on D(for most of the game) that is good for the Big 12.Lets just hope it takes a few more years for Mac to realize how bad Akina really is.

Oh, I don't disagree, it's just that it gives me cognitive dissonance and a raging headache whenever I want the Horns to win.

Trust me, I had to go hop in the shower around 11 last night for good reason. :D

Best news possible. :texan:No, the best news is we don't have to see all the bandwagon aSu fans wearing their gear as we did earlier in the season.

The best news is I haven't seen a team in all the bowl games thus far who could even challenge OU, much less win.

Well, I think as the game thread from the other night proves, the game was amusing for a lot of us on many different levels.
I don't think that there were any of us actively cheering for Texass, but I don't think any of us lost any sleep over the fact that they pwned the sun-debbils and won even though they looked like the Keystone Cops doing it.

We got to laugh our ***es off over the Chris Jesse debaucle, got to see the Pac-10 exposed as the posers that they are, and the fact that Texass will be riding high off of this win and will be ranked higher at the start of next season is only the better for us when we beat the **** out of 'em come October.

I'd rather see the bandwagon ASU fans than the bandwagon USC fans everywhere. At least it's local.
