I hold nothing against them. If anything, OUr team and coaches take the heat for a true loss. Losing to them hurts way less than losing to Texas when we KNEW we were better than them last year. Like pretty much always, the winnar was the team with the fewest turnovers and the most lucky breaks. About the only lucky break we got was the punt that touched the Boise dood. For that we also saw:

1. PT throwing against his body for two interceptions.
2. A tipped ball for a pick 6 against us.
3. Arguably OUr best player injured on the first series.
4. The most freakish streak of successful trick plays in the history of college football executed to perfection against us.
5. Two timeouts accidentally burned. Didn't hurt us, but really could haved helped us to have them.
6. Adrian Peterson's worst effort (stats-wise, not work ethic-wise) in regulation as a Sooner. Are you kidding me? He can set All-time NFL records, but a WAC team can shut him down? :eek:

This is game could loosely be categorized as a minor bowl version of last year's Fiesta Bowl. BSU (OU last year) is heavily favored, comes into the bowl and is getting beat (TO's, etc.) the entire game by the scrappier team ECU (BSU last year). At the last minute BSU gets a miracle turnover for a touchdown, like we got with Walker's pick six. But then ECU gets a few great plays (kickoff return, great pass) to pull it out.

Interesting game. Up by 17 points at the half, the pirates did just about everything they could to give the game to the smurfs in the second half. Does it seem this scenario occurs much more today than say 10 years ago? It is just a feeling I have had about college ball since last year, that scoring is up and every week some team is giving up a big lead. Maybe I am way off base on this one.
