With his reputation for wide open football, he could recruit so much better out in LA than he can in Westex. I think he could pry some considerable talent away from the suc, thereby doing everyone in college football a favor.

Unless you live in a real hell hole, it's kind of hard to guage that. Coolege football coaches travel all across the country and have the money to have whatever fun they choose. Between recruiting, awards ceremonies, regular season trips, CCGs and bowl games, most coaches just appreciate sitting in their own home when given the oppurtunity. More likely, the question is: does how far does $1.5 million get you in Lubbock, versus LA?
