In the finest traditions of my pater familias role model, Clark W. Griswold, we're about to begin a "holiday season family fun day."

Agenda:

Lunch somewhere chosen by Mrs. Homey and our Blonde Daughter.

Light shopping at Utica Square

A trip to the Philbrook Museum to take in their special Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit (my Blonde Daughter's favorite American designer/architect)

din-din somewhere

A movie, prolly "Charlie Wilson's War" or "National Treasure II"

wish me luck.

You should try out the new "Suki" place at 71st and memorial. I've heard it's very good, and a lot of fun.

Oh, and is there such a thing as "light" shopping at this time of year?

National Treasure 2 was OK. The roads in NW OKC, not so much.
Glad to be back home.

while we were in line to see Sweeney Todd yesterday, we wanted to ask the people coming out of National Treasure II "How bad was it?" :D

It wasn't bad, it wasn't good. It was about what I expected.

Man, National Treasure is the awesome. I saw the original 4 times at the theater alone, and I saw II at the premier last night. I was definitely better than II, but both were great in my opinion.

Charlie Wilson's War though is the one that I'm salivating to see.

Heh. I never even saw the first one, 'cause I thought it looked like the suck.

I'm going to go see The Golden Compass way before I see National Treasure 2.

Heck, I'll go see Enchanted first, too.

I saw Golden Compass last week with SicEmEx. SAVE YOUR MONEY! That movie sucked harder than Richard Simmons in an episode of Oz.

Now, granted, I detest those kinds of movies. I hated LOTR like I've never hated a movie before in my life; however, SicEmEx is something of a connoisseur of these types of films and was less than impressed.

Ah. There's the difference - you came without a "suspension of disbelief" button. ;)

From his posting history, I don't think that's the only button he's missing.

Cousin Eddie wears one in Christmas Vacation, on the outside. :D

I think it's when they're drinking the egg nog out of the moose glasses.

I have seen this too many times. :D

No, but I did notice something kinda interesting and contradictory up at the register of one of these joints. See, they have these stickies a girl can put over her bosoms to keep the high beams from clicking on. Then, right next to 'em, they got these things that look like old school baby bottle nipples for sticking on bosoms for permanent high beams.

Thus, proving the proposition, most gals don't really know what they want, except they know they want options.

P.S. they also had these "invisible" drawers made out of stuff that looked like paper towel material called "commandos." I have no idea why anyone would bother. Unless they were worried about dripping or something.
