Who's watching the...um....whatever it is bowl?

I mean you've got that one team taking on that other team!

(yawn)

Yeah, me either. First game I catch will probably be the Holiday Bowl.

My goal is to watch as much of every bowl as possible since college football goes away in about 3 weeks. :(

Go Navy!

Middies, Utes know Poinsettia Bowl's all about the option (http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/preview?gameId=273542426)

I wrote down a bowl schedule, and it doesn't begin til the 27th, with that Holiday Bowl. ALL those of interest are after that date. Besides the OU game, I guess I most care to see them Fightin' Illini guys whoop on the suc, and Leslies tigers to beat OhSU. A victory by hawaii over GA would be kinda cool, too.

I almost got really angry. I turned it to ESPN at 8:30 (Poinsettia Bowl started at 8pm). And there was a college bball game on. I dont care if it was Pitt (9) and Duke (7)! Who cares! There is a bowl game on and they are showing a ****ing early regular season bball game. ESPN really ****es me off sometimes.

Im flipping between the OU game/Steelers game/and bowl game.
In that order of importance. I've got Ben Rothlessboogers and the Pitt D playing for my fantasy team this week. So far Ben is lighting it up!

I'm not a basketball fan till the tournament.... even the worst football is better than any basketball and after the first week in Jan no more football. you can take this post back to the bball board. :D

I think that bball shouldnt start till after football is over.

Im assuming you are joking, and in that case, I am watching OU, I am switching back and forth. I love OU basketball, not as much as OU football, but I do support them. If you are serious, then thats the dumbest thing ive heard in my life. I "like" bball, but I LOVE football.....any football. I support any and all OU programs, I was dressed in sooner gear when i was just a few months old. I could probably have had my pick of nearly any college in the nation, and I chose OU because there was no question.....OU>Harvard (or anywhere else). It was the only school i applied to since I knew I had automatic admission. I will be a sooner fan for life. I support every program. But the bowl game isnt even on the same channel as our bball game, I was just complaining about having to watch Pitt vs Duke (which I also like). A bowl game is a bowl game.....and that will always be better than an early regular season college bball game IMO.

Grady has not been the starter for a while. He was only starting because something was wrong with Johnson. Grady was the suck for the most part in his starts.

Ugh, that's not good news.

And about Grady..I knew he was the backup, I just didn't know if their starter was still out. I saw stats from one game in which Grady started and he lit it up. Other than that I didn't hear much about him.

Grady played well against UCLA then went back to being his usual self. Inconsistent passes, and he can't run at all which isn't good since they still run a bit of the Urban Meyer offense.

Of all the places to go I don't understand why Utah. He knew they ran an offense that his legs couldn't run.

I could care less who wins, but Navy got jobbed. That guy was not out of bounds. It was a fumble that that should have been a touchback. The 20 yardline is a lot different than the 1. Blatant and unacceptable call from poor officiating. They will hear about this from their ref-bosses (or whoever grades them).

If the ball crosses the plain of the sideline, is it "out of bounds" ?

The ball could have crossed the plain before it hit the pylon.

Nothing is out of bounds until the ball or a body part touches the ground out of bounds, so no that won't work. Since he was clearly still airborne and the ball was out flying forward before he touched the ground, it was by rule, a fumble. Then, since the first thing the ball hit was the pylon, it is by rule, a touchback. Obviously the refs did not see it that way even after using the great replay system we have for these situations. They are morons and should be reprimanded. It just irritates me that that can screw up easy calls after looking at the replay. They clearly do not know the rules of college football. It is sad that commentators and average fans know more about the game and the rules than refs who get paid to know. But I guess this should not be surprising given the standards required to become a ref nowadays (hint hint Big 10 hint hint).

How can those Replay Officials continue to get EVERYTHING wrong without something happening to fix this? If i hadn't have voted for Utah in the Bowl Pick 'Em i would have fought something in my house. Perhaps the curtains or a really buff pillow.

I say they should put a rulebook up there in the review booth! That or give them some fancy interweb connection to look it up.

Probably a good thing Navy guys aren't couch or car burning types...
