There's a comment there from a guy named "Kelley". No, no, no. An "ey" ending makes it a girl's name. He might as well as spell it "Kellie". I knew a guy named Erin back in the day. Aaron = boy, Erin = girl. Why don't parents think before naming their kids? This problem is only going to get worse given the fad of giving kids gender ambiguous made-up names.

No "ey" here. But I still have to include my middle name when sending emails for clarification. Plus I get lots of mail addressed to "Mrs." so I've got that going for me.

I had a male friend named Kelly, so I always associate it as a male or female name on an equal basis. But now that I think about it, it's probably much more common as a female name.

As bad as you think you have it, imagine how much of his life a boy named Khryztofur (I'm sure there's at least one out there somewhere) will waste explaining the pronunciation and spelling of his name.

John. That's a name with some originality to it.

a friend of mine knows a married couple named "Kim & Kelly" I was never sure which one is which. I"m pretty sure Kim is the girl, but I do know a couple guys named "Kim" too.

There's nothing sillier than taking a common name and figuring out a different way to spell it. If you're looking to be clever, than pick a non-common name, for crying out loud.

There's a gal at one of our offices that looks just like that. Yes, her name's Pat. The first time I saw her I had to do a triple take.
