As stated above, the game will be on "Classic" tomorrow morning. I think that's the "key to the house" game, but I could be wrong. Thought I'd give a little heads up for those who have the channel (I NEED good karma, kidney stones are a cornucopia of ouch).

'86 features "The Catch". I thought '87 was the "keys to the house" game.

That's right, it's 12/20. Kidney stones have a way of throwing numbers and details more than ADD will ever know.

I had to listen to that one on the radio while at work, but luckily my folks taped it on the VCR; i still remember Boz on the sidelines saying "we still got 18 seconds left; the excitement is still there" or words to that effect

One of my favorite games also, just because of the company I was with. Me & 2 buddies from school (both huge Husker fans) had gone out pheasant hunting that morning & decided to quit early & go watch the game. I put up with 3 hours of their crap. They put up with mine considerably longer. :D

Correct, Broderick Someone (maybe it was Broderick Crawford, the guy drove a black sedan) was mouthing off about Lincoln not being Barry's house but the blackskirts house...the only game I have ever attended in Lincoln.

After the game, I threw an orange at a young Bill Callahan who was there being recruited by Osborne, even as TO lost yet another big game to The King. Crabtree told me that BC was a 5 star recruit at the time.

My wife is telling me it's the 86 OU Nebraska game, not 87. ESPN Classic at 2:00 am., my bad for the thread hijack. Apologies...

This is the game where Carl Cabbiness makes a fantastic catch on 3 and I think 10 or 12 to keep the drive alive in the fourth quarter to go tie the game on the opposite side of the press box or tv cameras.

One of the best catches ever in this series.

Also remember Switzer going for it on 4th down DEEP in OU territory? that drive was kept alive by an incidental facemask on that very play

I was upset to discover it was only a 50 minute ESPN Drive Thru version rather then a two hour game version.I still recorded it to disc however.

It was a lot of fun watching this one again. And truly amazing seeing how many of the players on those 2 teams made the pros.

Did anyone perhaps TiVo this with the capability to put it on DVD? I will send one to you for a copy.

I'd do it, but my entire system has been screwed since my last move...no way to get it all set up here while remaining lazy as nature requires me to be!
