I heard about the Mike Vick E-Card (http://www.peta.org/feat/holidaysnowglobe/index.asp) from PETA. Heh. Kind of funny, but man are these folks off the chain crazy.

I get from their site that their agenda is thus:

1. Don't eat poor little fuzzy defenseless animals (which I shall heretofore refer to as PLFDAs), evil meat-eating, ummm, carnivores. Humans should be herbivores.

2. Don't dress yourselves in PLFDAs, evil fuzzy animal killing humans.

3. Farms are evil, because they kill PLFDAs. Even the pain and suffering of the PLFDAs leading to their untimely demise is so wrong and horrible that we should stop dealing with any sort of farm altogether.

4. Hunters are evil, because they kill/maim PLFDAs.

5. Mary Kate and Ashley are da debbil.

6. Eva Mendes (and other hotties) will go naked (http://www.furisdead.com/feat_eva_mendes.asp)before wearing PLFDAs (now this I can get behind :D).

They sum it up as such:

Animals Are Not Ours to Eat (http://goveg.com/vegetarian101.asp)
Animals Are Not Ours to Wear (http://www.peta.org/actioncenter/clothing.asp)
Animals Are Not Ours to Experiment On (http://www.peta.org/actioncenter/testing.asp)
Animals Are Not Ours to Use for Entertainment (http://www.peta.org/actioncenter/entertainment.asp)
Animals Are Not Ours to Abuse in Any Way (http://www.peta.org/actioncenter/exploitation.asp)

Anybody else have any thoughts on this (either way)?

Maybe it makes me callous, but the only part of the animal food cruelty bit that I give a **** about is that packing them with growth hormone and stacking them on top of each other might lead to unhealthy meat, which could cause me or my kids health problems. I don't really give a flying **** about how cruelly we treat chickens, pigs, or cattle. I haven't dealt much with these so-called 'factory farms', but I know plenty of farmers and ranchers in Oklahoma and Missouri, and I haven't seen any of this BS.

And Alec Baldwin donating his voice to their little videos is nifty.

I'm surprised nobody has said anything about the nekkid girlies protesting fur. :)
