What a game he had yesterday! I couldn't believe that he was the same awkward and ungainly player who started at OU. 4 Blocked Shots, 7 Rebounds, some MONSTER DUNKS, and a couple of lovely assists. He got game!

From the DO:

And some of Longar's biggest plays came after his hard fall on the fast break.

• A 58-percent free-throw shooter, Longar made two that gave OU a 70-65 lead with 3:20 left.

• He blocked a shot that turned into a 3-pointer by Johnson on the other end.

• He thrilled the crowd with two big dunks.

•He grabbed a long offensive rebound that led to two Sooner points.

• And he drew a charging foul that eventually led to OU taking a 79-68 lead with less than a minute left.

"People feed off Longar playing like that,” Johnson said.

"He's a senior and he knows he has to be big for us. If he plays big for us, we can win just about any game.”

L squared could play his way into the NBA someday. I thought he'd be a four year Oleg Retzov (SP), when I first laid eyes on him.

He had a great game and deserves the props.

My only one gripe: Please, L2, never, ever, ever try to go coast to coast on your own one-man fast break again.

He's a nice dude. I got to meet him when OU played in the Great Alaska Shootout-he, Taj Gray, and a couple of other players were walking around downtown and I bumped into them. Got a couple of pics with him. HUGE hands on that guy. Like shaking hands with a bunch of bananas.

ive noticed that there is a huge difference between longar longar and angry longar. seriously, someone needs to be hired just to slap him around and **** him off before the game, at halftime, and whenever necessary. when he's mad he takes no prisoners.

Looks like someone may have just stepped up to lead this team.

He does not have an NBA future.

HOWEVER... I am pleased with his play so far this season. This is likely the nicest thing that I've said about him in the last two years, so bear with me.

L2 has an NBA futre if for no other reason than the fact he is 6'11.He does also has some game which helps. He can sit on the end of someones bench for 5-6 years. If Avila got a shot at the NBA D- League,L 2 gets a shot at the NBA.

If manute bol can get a chance, L2 will. L2 can score but he needs to get stronger

He's turned out to be a helluva player, a lot of fun to watch.

He'll play pro ball but maybe not in the NBA...would love to see it though! I don't see him stacking up with middle of the road centers like Z in Cleveland, but who knows...I hope I'm wrong!
