Thanks you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers over the past week.

Unfortunately it was just not meant to be this time around. We went in for the appointment yesterday and there was no heartbeat this time. My wife decided she would wait a week to see if she miscarries on her own, and if that doesn't happen, she will be going in for a DNC next Friday.

She handled it a lot better than I thought she would (I guess we both did). She was able to smile and laugh a little yesterday (in between crying of course). They told us to wait about a month (after she miscarries or has the DNC) before trying again, so I let her know that as soon as she is ready we will try again...

Again, thank you for all of the thoughts and prayers that were sent our way.

Very sorry to hear that. For what it's worth, the same thing happened to me when I was 8 weeks pregnant. They did the D&C (in Feb) and on Dec 11 of the same year, we gave birth to a precious little girl.

It is difficult, but I wanted to let you know that there is always hope and good things do happen too.
