I wrote a freaking novel... did 15 or so paintings, went to Greece and NYC, broke up w/ a boyfriend, made a bunch of new friends, got a job, quit a job, lived completely by myself for the first time, learned how to dance, took a pilates class, discovered new favorite bands, drank a lot of wine, coffee, and tea... man, this list could go on for a long time. It's been a big year.

What the crap have I done in the past year? I gots a job. A real job that's Step One on my career ladder. And it turns out my potential ladder is much taler than I had been planning. Conductor > Trombonist. I maintained my particularly annoying tendency to become interested in what I'll term "impractical" chicks. By which I mean dating them would be difficult at best. Damn you, geography! Heh.

Um, that's about it so far. And I'm back to writing my paper now, that I need to e-mail off tonight.

This indeed has been a topsy turvy kind of year; not just for me, but from some of the Prayer's Needed threads around here it looks like for others as well.

-Work has been stressful, but thanks to patience, support and encouragement from those that love me, it's slowly resolving and getting better.

-I lost my most precious commodity to someone who has done nothing but make my life miserable for the last 10 years.

-And I met the most incredible man who loves me more than I could possibly imagine.

-Finally, next Wednesday I can honestly say that I survived another year. Which is a good thing being that a year ago I was rushed into emergency surgery and had 12" of my colon removed because a tumor decided to appear and cause some problems. As horrendous of an experience it was to go through, it definately changed my perspective on life and those around me. I learned to appreciate the small day to day things that happen in this crazy world of ours.

-And as far as you guys go here on SF... I must say you've made it the most entertaining year. Keep me laughing and keep warming my heart because as silly as it may sound, there were evenings that your posts really made a difference in this SoonerGirl's year.
