and then God punished me by making me have the most annoying one for a cousin in this life. :(

He sends me this email telling me all about how grateful we Oklahomans should be to some Texans for helping out with the ice problem. Then if that wasn't rude enough, he went off on a rant of total gibberish to me about our football program. I would tell you what he said but I don't want to waste your precious time, plus I am so totally speechless. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y86/OUmom/iced22.gif

LOL. You beat me to it, Doc.

MamaMia, maybe it's time to send over a couple of the family's associates. You know, to talk to him, real friendly like. ;)

Did you ever have a boss who was a Longhorn fan? I did. He was pretty cool, though, but he was a Longhorn fan. And he grew up as an OU fan.

In fact, before the 2003 Arkansas-Texas game, I made a bet with him that if Texas lost, he had to convert to being an OU fan. Arkansas won, but he never paid that bet off.....No wonder he left my place of employment three months later.:P

I have one now...he's been pretty quite this year though? :D

...and he is a great guy, except for that one glaring fault.

That's weird, because all the horns like to whack each other in this lifetime.

Just tell him that Oklahoma makes up for it by sending down more prison guards every year during the summer to help with the jail population increase in Austin.

Too bad it couldn't have been Matthew McConaughey's father. :(

Well I'm in favor of the "whack a horn today" slogan & Matty would be a great initial target!

The ONLY reason that "Whack-a-Horn" isn't a huge arcade game is due to wear and tear on the mallets.

I don't understand why Longhorn fans believe that the University of Texas is the same thing as the state of Texas.

Just tell him that with all that awl money, facilities and 4 and 5 star recruits, 3 mil/year coach and even with D.X. Bible's uncle cousin's grandkids reffing their games, UT is 5-5 in their last 10 Big XII games.....and as Mack asks Sally, "which button is for popcorn," on the microwave on January 2 while Sally stirs codeine into Mack's cocoa to stem the all too familiar 3 hour hugging and clutching barrage that's about to ensue, that, at 8 years old, the next Billy Sims, Malcolm Kelly, and Tommie Harris are watching that same OU game and begin dreaming of someday not being at home in early January and therefore 2017 will then suck to be a horn fan not too dissimilar to how it sucks to be a horn fan now.

If I was more ambitious, I could put together a "that's how Mack Brown got the clap" joke.

I wrote back explaining that when my state helps people in other states I feel it more gracious to not mention it, but since he did mention it I would like to share this link. :)

These are the same people that think it is still 1836.

As one might imagine, I run into that quite abit down here. I paraphrase someone's sig on here and point out that as a public service, OU provides more texas athletes with more national championship football rings than all of the texas schools combined. Then I say, "You're welcome." :D

"Dear Cousin _____,

An e-mail like the one you sent me deserves a response that's equally full of things as important and informative as the one you sent.

Sincerely,

My first engraving job was for a company co-owned by a married couple. The husband was an A&M Fan, the wife a UT fan.

THAT was mind-numbing!

My annoying cousins wife is an aggie. I treated them to the OU/Texas game just so he could see the woman he loves cheering for the Sooners as his horns went down. It was really fun. :P
