are you looking for the original network broadcast or the replay that koco did a year or so ago?

stonecoldsoonerfan...

do you have any idiea why original broadcasts are not available for certain years?

Specifically the 1976 OU/Nebraska, 1973 OU/Texas, 1973 OU/Nebraska,

1972 OU/Nebraska, 1972 OU/Texas, 1972 OU/Penn State Sugar Bowl,
1971 OU/Texas games.

I ran upon the 1971 OU/Auburn Sugar Bowl recently and I've never heard
from anyone why these great games listed are not.

that's a good question. i'm sure that abc/nbc/cbs/etc. have archives of these things. there are partial games out there in addition to coaches films. the jan. 72 sugar bowl (with auburn) had all the pregame, most of the first half, and all the 4th qtr. the 76 nebbish game has just a tad of the first half and then all of the 2nd half. same on the 73 nebbish game from what i've heard (i don't have a copy of it yet).

somebody has it out there somewhere. usually a game or two surfaces each year. still can't believe that the only copy of the 78 tejas game out there is the espn classic.

tOSU = The Ohio State University. He would be referring to Uwe von Schamann and The Kick.

I'd love to be able to watch a complete broadcast of a '70's OU game, commercials and everything. The whole thing, unedited, start to finish.

I have some of these 70's games with commericals. Please let me know what you have and maybe we can set up a trade.

Anyone wanting a copy of The Game of the Century (OU/Nebraska 1971) will need to contact the University of Nebraska Athletic Department who bought the rights from ABC. Al least the last I knew it was still available back in the early 80's.

The audio is gone but all of the game is intact with voice overs by the two quarterbacks. Man does that ever bring back memories of Thanksgiving Day 1971 at Aunt Loretta's house.
