I rarely start a new thread, but since it is kinda slow right now until OUr bowl game, I wanna know your candidate for the coolest name in football. I've heard a lot during all my years of TV viewing of football, but never have I heard one I think is cooler than PLAXICO.

I'd like to hear your nomination for COLLEST NAME EVAR!!!!

Oh yeah, Merry Christmas to all!!

he changed his name to Lucius Seymour (http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1205061football1.html):

We were reading Deadspin (http://www.deadspin.com/sports/college-football/you-say-seymour-we-say-pusey-lets-call-the-whole-thing-off-219327.php) this morning when we first learned of the existence of Lucius Seymour, a football player at Eastern Illinois University. Seymour, a 22-year-old Floridian, is of note because of his unfortunate former name, which was wiped away last year via a legal petition filed in Palm Beach County's Circuit Court. A copy of Seymour's name change application, which was approved last July, can be found below. In an e-mail yesterday to Deadspin, Seymour takes issue with a prior post that made light of his former handle, Lucius Pusey. "When i make it to the league i willshoot a middle finger at yall and say **** all my haters," Seymour wrote. "I am the realest."

Gentlemen pleeeease (Oh!, and ladies:D),
The topic is coolest, not strangest or whatever.
THE coolest football name by far is ....... TRRW!! Every time I hear that name I think of the superman play and it DOSEN'T get any cooler than that.

KantoSooner
12/12/2007, 01:05 AM
'Superman' was a cool play, but, for sheer fun, there is nothing that will ever surpass the look on the UT player's faces this year when they were already signaling 'Touchdown!' and realized that Lofton had stripped the ball two yards shy.
You could see the air go out of them and you just knew they had begun to die inside.
Sooner magic.

That said, if you want a cool 'football' name, none comes much more 'manly' than:
