We're not covered over in ice from stem to stern like y'all in my beloved home state are. :(

I remember those Oklahoma ice storms all too well and they're pretty much the ONLY thing I don't miss. :) I'd gladly drive in a few more though to be able to watch the Sooners in person again.

Thinking of all of you in the GREAT state of OKLAHOMA and hoping everyone is safe and warm.

BOOMER SOONER!!

I love Oklahoma, but 78 in Atlanta can't be beat right now. :)

Yep...I gotta love it out here in the desert. Clear and dry most of the time and if I want snow it's a quick drive up Mt. Charleston.

I would give an arm for some humidity. I miss ice storms.

I have to admit, if I was in the middle east somewhere I'd wanna see rain, sleet, snow, and cold wet people speaking English!

If I were in the middle east somewhere I'd wanna see women not wearing the burqa.

And a beer.

The Embassy imports the beer. beer= check

The women look like they are a star in a Scream movie and scare the sh*t out of you everytime they knock on your window. Hot chicks= no

I've seen some VERY hot Arab women -- the Queen of Jordan is darn fine example. And Turkish women are the bomb (no pun intended).

Guess Yemen doesn't have them, though. :(

I'm buried to my b*** in snow, but since I teach skiing in the wintertime, that's OK. I left Oklahoma shortly after the Ice Bowl game. Don't miss the ice, but I have to remember the drive down I-40 was a "fun time for all":D

I'm balls deep in the fluffy rain myself. I'll take that over an ice storm.

Or the 79 in dear old San Antone right now. I remember those ice storms when I was a kid growing up around Lake Texoma. It was fun for me then, but I was too stupid to know how much trouble they caused.

If you are speaking of queen Nora(sic), she is from the US, Philly I believe.

Ice storms can be brutal, we had one about 10 years ago in Maine and a lot of folks were without power for 3 weeks in sub-freezing temps. They were cleaning up trees for 5 years along the interstate. Most of the ones who lived through it now have hardwired generators, just in case.

Stay safe Sooners!

I caught some rays this weekend while putting up the xmas lights with no shirt and sweat rag in the back pocket. Love me some Florida in winter :)

80 here today with about 110 percent humidity...in other words, every other day north of Houston. I don't miss ice storms - and down here they would bring on the apocalypse on the roads - but I miss seeing the huge snowflakes drifting down...on the rare occasion there was snow and not ice. :)

in 2000 we got stuck in Poteau in an ice storm. The road was blocked on one side by a big a** tree and on the other side by a downed power pole. When we finally got to leave it took us 12 hours to get back to amarillo.

No ice here. Just tons of snow and 17 degrees outside in North Idaho.
Be safe down there.

I had an 8 hour drive from OKC to Sallisaw a few years ago. I-40 was completely covered in snow and sleet. It was fun and scary all at the same time. God I love Oklahoma.

Called relatives in OKC yesterday and they won't have power for 7-10 days. Ice storms suck! It's clear and dry here in Sand Aggie country. I certainly glad we missed this storm!

The queen of Jordan is actually American. She used to be a model before she married the King (Who was prince at the time)
