...Kansas that is. You hillbillies better get ready, the ice & snow is comin'. It's here now. If you don't have a map handy, Moscow is about 20 miles northwest of Liberal. It's f'n cold!

A little trick I picked up at the car dealerships. It keeps the blades from sticking to the windshield.

;)

Have you had any time off?

Yep. I got taken off that other rig when I told them 30+ days on & 4-5 days off was too much. The oil company wanted to keep me & suggested a 3 man rotation but my boss didn't think too much of it.

I took the family to Galveston during Thanksgiving week & had another week off until they sent me out here.

20 miles north of Liberal?

We go on our prairie dog shoots about 20 miles south of Liberal.

Man. Too bad they don't let you take scoped AR-15's and 22-250's to work.

The little bastards are probably holed up underground now, having a nooner.

390 miles from home. Sheesh, what a boring-*** drive.

Jerk, I drove through Hooker to get here.

A lady I work with served a stint in Liberal a few years ago. She said when the meat plant burned off the hair and skins the smell in town was so horrible that everybody had to lock themselves in their houses to keep from gagging.

I reckon that's not as bad as living someplace where roaming gangs of teenage girls on subways will beat the hell out of you.

Heh, Moscow is just next to Liberal? I find that humorous.

BTW- if you get some time to drive to Guymon, there is a sports bar there (don't remember the name or the location, but it's probably the only sports bar in town) and they serve a kick-*** chicken fried steak. The waitresses are cuties, too.

That is a northern trick, and Okie transplant to Minnesota taught me that one. Of course, I don't get to use that trick down here as much as I did in OKC.

Even more humorous is the name of Liberal's American Baseball Congress summer league team.

The BeeJays.

I'm not kidding.
