Okay, I agree, in the professional photographs, with the hair and make-up done by pro's, she does look very attractive.

Just a thought or two from a guy who was once in charge of mixed-gender deployed troops about her effect on overall troop morale if she happens to be in your unit or deployed at your location. Not good.

#1: If she's cool, she won't do this, but if she's not, she'll wield that beauty of hers like a powerful magic wand ensuring she gets favorable treatment by her leaders and peers. Meanwhile, her "less attractive" colleagues will resent the crap out of her...kind of like that Brady Bunch movie when the character who played "Jan" was constantly saying disdainfully to herself "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!" Cat fights (or worse) will result. Distracting to all.

#2: If she puts out while deployed, guys competing for a slice often get in real knock-down drag-outs that can be very detrimental to unit cohesiveness and definitely distracting to all.

#3: Disruption of the "Ugly Is Relative Principle." The UIRP, simply put, stands for the well documented fact that girls who wouldn't get a second look in a bar or on the street back home, get progressively more attractive in the eyes of horny beholders the longer they are deployed, The UIRP is exacerbated logarithmically if there are no pretty women around. Closely related, see #4.

#4: Ditto the indignance felt by the ladies who would be willing to put-out, and under ordinary circumstances would have many suitors, but because the "beauty pageant sergeant" is around, the only guys who hit on the plainer girls are the guys who don't possibly have a chance with the more attractive one. That lowers the ugly girls morale because it partially denies them one of the few perks available to deployed ugly girls.

I have a problem with this, and I wasn't even in the Army. Frankly, this is making hay off your military uniform and it is an ethical and UCMJ no-no. Not to mention the goofy pageant pin on her beret where her unit crest belongs. I bet the women soldiers trying to do their jobs and be respected as fellow soldiers just love this crap.

From what I understand, she's pretty down to earth, more tomboy than beauty queen, and she did a hell of a job in Afghanistan.
