Is there anywhere in OKC that one of you golfers would recommend that will set up a high speed camera and analyze your golf swing? I'm thinking about getting this for my dad for Christmas.

I know there's one in Tulsa.

Wish I could help you on the OKC deal.

I would call ball golf and see if he can do it. Steve Ball is ranked in the top 100 golf teachers in the country

no can do, and I don't know anyone that can do it in the city.

I just do mine myself to see if my changes are taking.

It's never pretty to watch your own swing.....trust me. My swing is hideous when I see it on video.

Why does it have to be high speed?

I just used a regular movie camera to find out I sucked at golf. That, and a stack of scorecards.

depending on the level of golfer, more frames per second is helpful, especially when viewing impact positions. Most low speed cameras blur everything in the impact area cause the club is moving too fast.

no ****.

I set up a camera in the back yard years ago and taped my swing. In my mind my swing felt like Steve Elkington, but after watching it was more like Charles Barkley.

If you've ever watched the celebrity golf thing at Lake Tahoe you'll know what I mean.

I am reading a book by Bobby Clampet now called The Impact Zone.

The main idea of this book is where the bottom of the swing is. His data shows the bottom of the swing on a hacker is 2-4 inches behind the ball, where a tour pro is 4 inches in front of the ball.

It's an interesting book. Talks about how to achieve this putting, chipping, pitching and the full swing.
