Once again, green spek hammer gets dropped the winner by all participants.

Rules:
1. Must predict winner for all games STRAIGHT UP (no point spreads).
2. Predictions must be in by start of first bowl game on December 20th.
3. In event of tie, winner will be determined by sudden death score prediction in the following order: Fiesta Bowl, False NC game, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl.
4. All participants must at least attempt to green spek the winner.

Before I begin, I have to say what a complete crock of **** the BCS is at this point. Not so much for screwing us out of the national title game, but for the offense of leaving Mizzou out but putting two teams they beat (Illinois and Kansas) in. And, outside of OU/WVU, there aren't any halfway decent BCS matchups this year...every other game is a glaring mismatch to me. But I digress, so without further adieu...

Utah vs. Navy
Ahh yes, the one game where the sponsor's name might actually be longer than the actual game itself. Left for dead earlier this season, Utah put together a nice run through the MWC after totally pantsing UCLA. Navy has consistenly had the nation's best ground game, and it should prevail against a Utah defense that's more primed for the passing attack prevalent in the Mountain West.
Prediction: Navy-31, Utah-21

New Orleans Bowl

Memphis vs. Florida Atlantic
There is an unoffical ban on watching this game within a 250 mile radius from Norman...and all OU fans know why.

Finally, a good bowl game with two evenly matched teams! While Arizona State has been soundly beaten by the two teams they played who have both an offense with a pulse and a halfway decent defense, Texas has way too many question marks to make this a solid pick. But I'm sticking with Jamaal Charles.

C'mon Rose Bowl. Get off the goddamn "It MUST be a Big11/Pac10 matchup or else..." rhetoric and make it a decent matchup, say USC vs. Georgia. No one wants to see this...this is a freaking layup home game for the Trojans! Illinois has no business in this game...you know it, I know it, America knows it. The only team Illinois beat of significance was an overrated Ohio State team. They got blasted by Mizzou, lost to a ****ty Iowa team, and got beat by a team that lost to APPALACHIAN STATE! USC could put in the punter as their starting QB and win this in a walk!

If anyone has more reason to be mad at the BCS than Oklahoma for screwing them out of the national title game, it's Georgia. Every single poll all season, if #'s 1 and 2 both lost, then #'s 3 and 4 came up and took their place. So what if they didn't win their division. They've won every single game since October 6th, while LSU lost two. Oh, and Hawaii, after Georgia blasts you back to the islands, I don't want to hear another peep out of you as far as the BCS is concerned for the next decade!

I'll admit, I was shocked when this matchup was announced (and not because I was expecting OU to be in the title game). However, the more I look at this, the better the matchup looks. This is a really good clash between two offensive juggernauts, with decent/really good (in the case of OU) defenses to match. The biggest matchup question there is is how well OU's D matches up against Slaton/White.

Kansas vs. Virginia Tech
While most people are writing Kansas off after being soundly beaten by Mizzou, I'm not. That was a damn good team that beat them. BC has been overrated all year, the ACC really isn't that good...and VaTech got royally bitchslapped by the only decent team it played. Their defense is solid, but their offense is sluggish.

Y'all know how I feel about both teams. One team has the world's biggest ******* as it's coach. One team is still waiting to play their first real game. But here's something they both have in common: unruly fanbases. One likes to get drunk and shower vulgarities, spit, and in a few cases, bodily waste at opponents. The other likes to get drunk and set half their campus on fire, win or lose. Ohio State and LSU, you two deserve each other, just not in the national title game. I hate you both with a passion. However, I am going to break precedent here, solely because I can't stand to see one fan base with yet another national title, even though it won't be legit. And to the team I pick, yes, I will be cheering for you.

Bad calls and games being altered because of those bad calls have been a apart of college football for decades. Throwing out a football game because of a bad call is making up rules as you go along. If someone losses the pick 'em contest by one game against someone who picked Navy then the whole contest would be a bust.

Yah...I'm headed back to Base this afternoon...woulda been there at 4, but Northwest decided to CANCEL my flight to Memphis, so I gotta fly American through DFW and won't get back til around 8. I gave it my best. After starting 0-6, I came back with 19-2 over the next 21 bowls . . . It wasn't enough. Frank's balanced ground/air attack was too much in the end. We cannot expect to win when we turn the ball over that often in the first quarter. My boys fought hard. I'm proud of 'em.
