Here is a breakdown of the Harris voters. Click on Bob Socci on the bottom right for a laugh. Apparently, we didn't impress him on Saturday. An idle Georgia and Florida really wowed him though. I thought these were supposed to be experts or something. And Dr. Charles Johnson ranked us behind Mizzou! He must be a human computer.

Seriously, people like that should not be allowed to vote. It's obvious that the guy just doesn't like OU and he wants to see them get screwed. There's no way to justify those rankings when OU beats Mizzou twice and VT was beat by 40 points at LSU. It's retarded is what it is. Someone needs to call this guy out.

A few more interesting items...teams with same records (I say Kansas and Mizzou have the same record because our Sooners were the only team to beat them...so, in essence, they are 11-1 for this post):

33 (29%) voted Kansas higher than Mizzou, the head-to-head winner
28 (25%) voted South Florida over Cincinnati, the head-to-head winner
26 (23%) voted Oregon over Oregon State, the head-to-head winner

Out of 113 (would be 114, but one guy had family issues) voters, this is a pretty large percentage of buffoonery.

Lance McIlhenny votes Hawaii #2. WTF???? Freaking Mustang from SMU.

From beloblog

Myles Brand always said college presidents could make more money for their universities if they would allow a football playoff to occur.

Instead, we get a terrible Harris Interactive poll with voters like Lance McIlhenny, who told my man Brian Davis: "Any given weekend, if I'm fly fishing, how am I going to make sure that by 1 o'clock on Sunday that this Harris group will have my input?"

Note to Lance, who by the way is a nice guy: Stop fly fishing and watch some college football on Saturdays.

Cindy Luis is a reporter for Honolulu's evening newspaper.

Bob Socci - formerly the voice of the Albuquerque Isotopes, formerly the voice of Navy athletics and now the voice of the Norfolk Tides AAA team.

I'll leave the comments to y'all.

-----------------

Am surprised Ron Thulin has Georgia over Oklahoma. They didn't even win their division, much less their conference.

Interesting to see Steve Owens' list. Thought he might have us toppin out.

Coach Earle Bruce gave us some love. Always liked him. Had to follow Woody.

Terrible, stupid, inane system that supposedly rewards college athletes for their hard work. Just dumb, dumb, dumb.

These are proof that the human polls are at least as objectionable as the computers. The sample size in the Harris needs to be increased drastically to account for extra-stupid ballots. Use more media and fewer CFB good ol' boys/insiders. And the season's final coaches' poll should seal its fate--entirely ditched as anything but an interesting curio for discussion.

Damn, I wish the NFL would ditch that worthless playoff they use and get a REAL system like this one.
