Re: Yet another Big 12 title for OU.... [re: Pancho Negro]

OU is just better, period. The difference is systemic. And if we had Stoops, and OU had Mack, we'd kick OU's butt, year and in year out. Mack is fine, but Stoops is better.

I'd take Stoops over Mack in a second.

I'd take conference titles over 10 win seasons. Print up your shirt for 10 win seasons. 4 of those are almost always against 3-4 DOG teams.

Our record has been inflated since Mack has been here. Only when Vince was here did we beat anyone of real consequence.

Gen 5 what ever he has done tops us and if you think the 2 coaches are about equal in achievements, you better get those orange lenses off and check reality. I like Mack, but his record doesn't compare. We have won one Big 12 title to Stoops 5. He has played in 3 NC games and us one. You better believe that Aggie debacle put us way back in everything. We are fixing to get our butts kicked in recruiting. Did OU' d tonight look anything like ours? Not in any way shape or form. We are way behind them now.

Hate to say it, but ou and Stoops flat out own UT and Mack right now. The last 2 years were due to Vince and the Bomar fiasco, nothing more. 6 out of 8 years losing to ou is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! Now, chalk up 2 straight losses to Texas A&M Aggies and let that sink in. 10-win seasons with this talent, against the likes of teams we play year-in and year-out is a very overrated stat. I am sick of that being some kind of measuring stick for success. Beating ou regularly and winning championships is the stick they should use. Anything less is pointless rationalization.

Was your handle really supposed to be 'soonernija,' or did you misspell 'ninja?' If not, what does 'nija' mean?

Mack has convinced the whole longhorn nation that 10 wins is what they consider success. The only reason Mack stresses the 10 win thing is because he KNOWS more often than not Bob will be taking home the B12 trophy. If he were to come out at the first of every year and say they goal for a successful season was the B12 championship, most of his 10 or so years there would have been considered failures. By de-emphasizing the B12 CC he can still schmooze with the money guys and flaunt his 10 win seasons. Problem is eventually even longhorns have enough smarts to figure out thats not going to get them any hardware, which is what it is really all about. Mack's riding that gravy train. Hope they keep him another 10 years.
