Apparently if you lose 2 games in triple overtime you are in the title game.......even if one of those losses was AT HOME to an UNRANKED opponent. When did they add this rule?

Ike

It came in with the Harris Poll

SOONER44EVER

I could be wrong. It could be an espn rule.

That would be a good argument in any year but this one.

It's retarded...and it's probably going to happen. Doesn't make any sense.
Here's my thoughts:
Tech>Arkansas, Colorado> or = to Ark.
Tech>Kentucky, Colorado> Kentucky
It makes more since to put us in the BCS champ game than it does LSU. Let's face it....LSU isn't very good.
I kinda agree w/another thread I saw, why not a 1 loss KU vs. Ohio State.

or it could be BS!

TUSooner
12/2/2007, 01:14 AM
Face it. There's something wrong with EVERY scenario, with this possible exception:

IF ANYBODY beats LSU in a home game for LSU, that team would be the most legit champion you could come up with in this chaotic season.
OTOH, if LSU wins in a home game, nothing would really be settled, except in the eyes of LSU fans.

OU vs LSU

tOSU is the one who should be left out

Okay I'm gonna solve it here and now.
Stanford vs. App. State for it all!

LSU doesn't deserve to be a top 5 team.

MONEY! You are forgetting what makes this world go round. They want to fill the stands...they want LSU.

I would really enjoy watching any team in the Big XII attempt to stop Mcfadden or Tim Tebow.

SoonerGrant

We have proven we can stop a runner...a passer, I still question. Although tonight we held an average 350 yarder/game to 250.

Who you think from the big 12 will play vs. Florida?
And who plays vs. Arkansas, Texas Tech?

OU-HSV
12/2/2007, 01:32 AM
Cause I'd really like to see Arkansas try to stop a spread offense as potent as Texas Tech's. I think Crabtree would have a helluva a game vs. that hog D.

McFadden may run for 500 yards on Tech's D.

There's no answer to this question.

I still think we have the best resume of any 2 loss team.

In overtime to average to bad teams. I don't get it either. It's like I said recently on here. If LSU uses the excuse that they lost in overtime...then we should be able to use the excuse of losing our starting stud QB on the like 3rd play of the game vs. tech....and on losing on the last play of the game vs. Colorado.
Face it Deek...a bad hogs team came into your house and beat you. That's horrible.

If margin of victory no longer counts margin of defeat shouldn't either.

Well...they can say margin of victory doesn't count. But we all know "style points" still count in at least the AP and Coaches. So basically to me that includes margin of victory.

Very true. And that's not good style. I hate LSU, and they don't deserve to be in the big one. I say this year the BCS nerds form a playoff starting next week with the top 8 teams dammit!

Does LSU's two loses in overtime trump our one lose with our starting QB + one loss when we lost our starting QB on the first offensive play?

The way I consider it is this:

OU lost one game with our A team QB and one loss with our B team QB plus we beat the #1 team in the nation.

LSU lost two games with their A team QB plus it's best win was against the #9 (I think) team in the nation.

USC lost one game with their A team QB and lost one game with their B team QB plus their best win was against the #7 team in the nation.

OU wins! :D

South Florida wins at Auburn.

WVU crushes Mississippi State.

East Popcorn State wins at Alabama.

Notre Dame laughed at how many games in a row South Carolina lost.

Tennessee got crushed by a craptastic Cal team.

Sorry, LSU...this was not a good year for the SEC...so winning it and almost losing three more conference games is not that impressive.

Yeah but Harrell will also throw 4 INTs.

Sure it would. All of LSU's games would be played in Louisiana, just at different fields, so they wouldn't get the blatant "home field advantage"

The worst part is, LSU will kill tOSU. I wasn't aware that teams that lost at home to lame duck coaches got to win titles...

If only Ainge could have just thrown the ball out of bounds on that stupid INT LSU loses. LSU will not beat Ohio State. Ohio State is actually a good team. LSU hasn't played well at all against good teams.

LSU won't kill Ohio State. LSU hasn't killed anyone since playing Va Tech.

Last I checked that running back is white. Even Ohio State can hang with that dood.
