We're heading over Saturday morning.
My wife said that she read that there is a FUN ZONE type deal opening three hours before the game and is free.
Probably hit the Riverwalk at Noon and wander on down to the stadium around 4:00.

For them, a Big 12 Championship Game is practically a once in a lifetime event.

Driving down from Austin with my 9 year old son Saturday afternoon. We're going to have a late lunch at Chris Madrid's on Blanco - the best hamburgers anywhere (that includes Weber's in Tulsa).

I will probably try to park at the AlamoDome and then walk over to Dick's last resort for the pregame festivities.

Couldn't find a cheap hotel. Probably drive back to Austin.

Man I envy you guys. We had a great plan, 6 of us headed south from NE OK on Friday, staying with a friend that lives about 70 miles N of SA, etc...

Then Tech wins and since "we can't go to the NC", we just are going to stay home and watch.

Flying to S.A. on Saturday morning on SWA. It only cost $30.00 per ticket each way on SWA's Ding rate. Staying at a Marriott property near the airport, which cost $100.00 less per day with a friends and family rate due to relative who works for one of the properties. Flying back to OKC on Monday around Noon. OU screwed up my Big XII ticket invoice claiming it never received the order although a basketball ticket invoice form sent with it was received or the payment for the basketball tickets would not have shown up on my credit card. Even though our allotment was sold out they got me two $79.00 lower level tickets 15 rows up on the corner. I just wanted to sit with our people. Can you see the field from Section 127? My OU basketball tickets are 5 rows up on the corner by the visitor's bench and they are great seats, but a basketball court is much smaller than a football field.
