The "5 Second Rule" is disallowed if you pick the item up and there is a hair on it.

Pick it off.

God gave you fingers to pick pubes off things you dropped so you can still eat it. Besides, it's a hair. It's not like it's a giant booger.

for me it depends on what the food item is. If i drop an oreo and pick it up and see a hair on it, I will just remove the hair and eat said oreo.
