Malcolm Kelly is listed at #25, Reggie Smith at #29. Both are not listed on Kiper's Board. Hopefully they both stay for another year. Thoughts?

We have receivers but man we have NO Corners for next year. We loose DJ already at Safety, loose Reggie and we get lit up worse than we did this year.

We got thin in the secondary fast.

Looks like they're at best, 4th at their positions. Although, Sweed ahead of Kelly is baffling.

^^^^^What he said: Sweed ahead of Kelly is STUPID!

If they can go in the first round, and I have no doubt MK would and maybe Reggie too, they should go get some $$$$$$$$

I don't see MK staying and taking the beating that he has taken this year. He's not banged up, but has taken some shots.

Absolutely makes no sense to me to stay an extra year if you are a probable first rounder. Football can be kind of dangerous you know, and I think if you're gonna be risking a career ending injury it's better to be getting paid for that.

Sure, both might stay another year and improve their draft stock, then again maybe not, and maybe they suffer an injury severe enough that they have no draft stock at all.

...and I say this as a huge Sooner fan, a big college football fan, and a lukewarm NFL fan.

The only people who should stay are the ones who "might" make it in the NFL. The sure-fire stars like AD, Malcom Kelly, Roy and Tommie need to go regardless of where some stupid draft board puts them.

A guy like MK is not only going to thrill the NFL scouts in the combine, but even if he does go low in the draft, he'll impress enough at the next level to get a raise, making up for the signing day "loss."

The difference between a top 10 pick and a top 32 pick is HUGE. Both could become top 10 picks but they arent now. While very talented, neither are for sure top 10 picks like AD and Tommy right now.

All the more reason for both to put out super efforts the next two games.
Cheers.

I havent looked at Kiper's board in a while but I m pretty sure it just lists seniors until underclassmen declare. Thats the way he has always done it.

I can see Reggie coming back but still do not see what MK would improve on.

Does he need to get bigger? No. Does he need to develop more speed? No. Does he need to improve on his pass blocking? yes. Route running? Yes. But neither of those will drop him any.

It all depends on the WR class and corner class that is coming out. This WR class is ripe for Mk's taking with little competition for the top spot. Not a strong class and a good show at the combine would only solidify his spot.

MK is a solid 1st rounder in many scouts eyes, in the 8-15 range, and dont see how it will get higher than that. MK is considered a red zone WR on size alone and will get picked up quickly

Team needs is a big issue also. If the team with the 7th pick need a WR, then thats what they ll go with.

Looking over the corner class, its not too impressive either. May be a good time for Reggie to declare.

8-15? kelly is not going to be the #1 or #2 guy in the draft. for the most part, unless the detroit lions are drafting or its considered a landmark class for WRs there is only 1 WR taken in the first 15 picks. if kelly came out he'd probably be the #4 or 5 guy which puts him from 25-45 depending on what position the draft takes a run at.

kelly needs to come back next year and show a sense of urgency to get himself into big money territory. all of the plays he's taken off aren't exactly going to sit well with the scouts.

as an aside, think about worst case scenario with early entrants - malcolm kelly, iglesias, nic harris, reggie smith, auston english

i do think we'll lose at least 1, we've never lost more than 1 under stoops, but we do tend to lose a key cog every time it looks like we are going to be geared up for a MNC run.

Buffalo likes Kelly as a number 2 with Lee Evans...I think they have the 16 pick..

There are a lot of teams with WR needs with not a lot of quality WRs out there..no way to 26 IMO

my bad Buffalo has 13 right now

Well, screw all the logic in this discussion...I want them to stay, but I want Reggie off the punt returns!

Tennessee another team looking at him

If he declares and he runs sub 4.5 at the combine, he s at least a top 20 lock. 8-15 was high and I m not sure why I put that in. On my sheets I have him at 15-20.But still higher than 26 right now

Yuo don't wanna know what's on my sheets!

But really...I hope he stays for the virtually assured BCS championship next season.

The Bills currently use the BLESTO(originally Bears Lions Eagles Steelers Talent Organization, just a lot more teams now) scouts..Seems they are high on MK for this year and RS For next season(top 12) and Nic Harris top 20ish
