Heath Ledger was super hot about 6 years ago, then all of a sudden his hairline started receding and he turned into an old man.

Amen!!! Jack is the best. I also believe that Michael Keaton was the bast Batman as well. That pic of Heath looks more like Beetleguese than the Joker...

Why do people keep making more & more Batman movies!?

because people keep paying more and more to see them.

Why do people keep making more & more Batman movies!?

because this new set of movies is actually based more on the comic book than the kilmer/clooney crap was, and the director actually has a good vision of what it should look like.

For what its worth, I think Ledger is going to be really good. I was skeptical at first, but his voice at the end of this changed my mind.

Also on a side note, Christian Bale is in negotiations to play John Connor in the new Terminator movie, that will actually be about the war with the machines.

The 1989 Batman w/ Nicholson & Keaton was dang good. Batman Returns w/ Devito as The Penguin wasn't too shabby. The Batman Forever was OK....then they started to seriously suck w/ the Clooney one.

But the 1989 Batman played a part in creating the best drinking game ever, so it has that going for it.

You take a shot of vodka or peppermint schnapps in alternating fashion every time Jack Nicholson speaks.

yeah, uh, this is going to be freakin awesome. I dont think ive been looking forward to a movie this much. Batman has always been my favorite comic, and I love the approach that Christopher Nolan has taken on it. Forget the Kilmer and Clooney crap that they put out in the 90's. This is what Batman is supposed to be like.

Ok, I saw the trailer when I saw I Am Legend the other day.

Didn't know a thing about the new Batdude flick and damn if I didn't think Da Joker was Johnny Depp with his Pirates thingy going and no scissors. Srsly.

Only seen the Jack the Joker one, but this new installment looks pretty good.

And yeah, hard to beat Cesar!

I completely agree.

Why do they have to go and turn characters into goth-like?

What about portraying the characters as they originally were?

I think it would be cool if they made a Batman movie like the television show- complete with the BAM and POW scenes/

"They" who? DC Comics? This "turn" was done decades ago. There's several different ways the Joker has been portrayed in the Batman comics. Ledger is doing the crazy, not such a prankster version.

Okay. Wait a minute. I didn't realize there were comic books about the Dark Knight Batman stuff so I take back my original post.

When I think Batman I think of Adam West and that other guy.

Possibly... I did see them doing somefilming in Chicago, a few months back. They were filming downdown on LaSalle Street in front of the Fed Reserve Bank. This is also where Kevin Kostner was filming in The Untouchables and where the "toy store' was located in Home Alone 2.

They were doing some pretty insane chase scenes on Lower Wacker this summer too, 2 of the stunt men got to spend a few nights at Northwestern Memorial.

Also, they blew up an old factory for some scene and apparently a lot of people werent aware that it was intentional. Good stuff...

That’s what you do in Hollywould when your career is in the dumper. So to speak. That is, make a controversial flick. Critics rave. Activists applaud. Then you take too much Ambien and alcohol and it’s the big night, night, sleep tight!!!
