Mike & Mike on ESPN just said that Ole Miss hired Nutt.

This has got to be, by far, the dumbest coaching move of the decade! That's like Stoops going to aTm.

Nutt seems like he belongs somewhere in C-USA/Big lEast or MWC, not the almighty sec.

What is it with coaches moving around in the SEC?

Haven't you heard? The SEC is the awesomest conference ever!

Living in Mississippi doesn't seem all that exciting to me.

IMO that's a good move by both parties.

Let's put it this way, we all know the Arkansas fan base is highly deluded in believing they should be going to the SEC championship each and every year, which is the only reason they got rid of Nutt.

Otherwise, he was putting very competitive teams on the field.

If he can get Ole Miss to that type of year-in year-out winning level he will be there a long time. At least until possibly a bigger fish goes after him.

I don't know why people are down on Nutt. Seems to me he's done more with less, not the other way around. Thats' a good fit for Ole Miss.

As for the Mustain fiasco that's more on that doddering old fool Broyles giving those nut (pun intended) jobs the time of day.

And Arkansas does?

great points odanorth, and I've always thought Mississippi State could be a sleeping giant because that area is like NFL Talent Central. THe Arkansas fanbase and administration is kooky..

good for you, Nutt! ;)

Frankly, as a Sooner girl living in Fayetteville and married to a Razorback fan, we're all glad to see him go. He's a man who makes Bill Clinton look clean. His ego is so big that he can't handle an OC or a quarterback to get more attention than he gets, and will make boneheaded calls on purpose. He can't establish a passing game, and though I don't think that they'll ever be as good as the Sooners, I think that under the right direction, Arkansas could be a great team. Just look at Mizzou and Kansas, hell can freeze over.

Personally, I would like to see what Mike Stoops could do here. I don't think he'll ever do great in Arizona, but maybe in Arkansas.

Personally, I would like to see what Mike Stoops could do here. I don't think he'll ever do great in Arizona, but maybe in Arkansas.Arkansas better find a quality coach quick. They're 2008 schedule looks manageable, but their 2009 schedule is a killer. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason Mike Stoops was in Norman last weekend was not only to interview with Arkansas but to get Bob's opinion on him taking the Arkansas job, if offered. I guess that Arkansas/aTm game in the JerrryDome is a reality as they've listed it on the schedule thru 2012. With Texas on their schedule the next 2 years, then that yearly game with aTm in the JerryDome, Arkansas could be in position to start siphoning Texas recruits like they did in their SWC days. http://www.arsnonline.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=1672008 Razorback Football Schedule

What Soonerboy O said..I think he can win 6-7 games sprinkled with some 8 or 9 win seasons there because there is a lot of in state talent there to try and pull from..
