Does a conference champion game winner automatically get a berth into a BCS bowl game?

What if there are two teams ranked higher than that team in the BCS?

Curious because say we beat Mizzou. At #9 we were to jump up... but what if we did not pass Kansas or Mizzou... sounds far fetched but the way this season has gone... Could OU get hosed because of our ranking or would Kansas or Mizzou get hosed since each conference only gets 2 teams in?

BCS is really the ultimate suckiitude.....

Just as when we lost to KS in the BIG XII championship game and still went to the BCS MNC game, Rankings don't matter. If you win the BIG XII, you go to the Fiesta unless you are invited to the MNC game.

If we win by enough points we skip the BCS and go straight to the Super Bowl.

regardless of ranking the winner of the BCS conferences automatically make a BCS bowl:

Big East
ACC
SEC
Big 10/11
Big12
Pac-10

everyone else has different rules for getting at-large bids and/or making the MNC game

For example, if Notre Dame had managed to win one more game, they would play the winner of the National Championship game for the SuperMegaUltra National Champion of the Universe. But they have to win that game by 14 points, or else Alabama gets to claim it.

No, no, you have it all wrong.

Did you know that the BCS allows for MULTIPLE CHAMPIONSHIPS TO SINGLE TEAMS IN ONE YEAR?

Therefore, Alabama has already won, by nearly winning against teams they shouldn't have been able to nearly win against (LSU, Auburn, etc.).

Alabama: 1

Had Alabama been ranked #1 at any point this year, they would have been issued a championship for each week they "won" the "#1" ranking.

Notre Dame, however has interesting rules intended to place them in high caliber games.

For example, had Notre Dame beaten USC, they would have automatically won a championship, but beating a former champion.

Had they beaten Navy, another former champion... ANOTHER championship!

However, their only wins this year were UCLA (fight fight fight!), Stanford and Duke.

However, according to the bylaws of the NCAA, since Notre Dame has accomplished something that they have not done in recent history, according to Weis, which is win two games at the end of the season, here is what happens:

1- Weis keeps his job, despite the worst record in ND history at 3-9.
2- Notre Dame wins its conference championship... oh wait... yes, I'm reading this correctly. Conference championship for Notre Dame...
3- Weis gets another contract extension with guaranteed money plus guaranteed raise should they improve this 3-9 record next season.
4- Weis can continue to act like a jerk to alumni, former players and ND staff, because
5- Notre Dame is going to the BCS championship!
