shut the hell up.

I know the games in Stillwater are probably pretty boring but you don't have to imitate the NBA and play a damn song after EVERY friggin play!!!! Sitting in Section 2, right across from the groid band, we had to listen to every late 90's pop hit imaginable.

Also, I thought there was a Big 12 rule that the band could not be playing when the offense broke the huddle? No?

Thank god the game was out of hand but having to listen to that garbage all day long drove everyone in our section absolutely nuts.

Now, Go beat Mizzou.

I thought it was funny when both bands played at half time with their backs to each other.

Were they playing "Immigrant Song" or the theme from "Get Smart"? It was hard to tell.

I just think they got wrapped up in the moment to have an audience greater than 20,000 people.

I think it's only the home team that can't play once the huddle has been broken.

They were playing some White Stripes (Seven Nation Army) so that was kinda cool.

One of my favorite stories ever is of the time Switzer gave our band a game ball for their non-stop playing of Boomer Sooner while we rallied up in Stillwater one year.

But, uh, yeah...their uniforms suck and their announcer is terrible.

... you suck and you're not going to an awesome bowl game like OU.

Enjoy Boise. The Humanitarian Bowl will give you ample opportunity to buy more Boise State gear to smear in OUr faces.

They have to stop playing when the offense begins to get set. You can play after a play starts. You just can't play during a snap count, but some bands get away with it on extra points as it doesn't really matter all that much.

The irony in this is that the rule is a result of the Pukes crying. I don't remember the year but typical of lOSUr hospitality, there was no place for our director of bands, Dr. Gene Thrailkill to stand so he had to stand on the sidelines to direct The Pride. OSU Security decided that he could not stand there and escorted him from the field. As Dr. Gene was being escorted out he told The Pride to "play Boomer until we win". The Pride played, the Sooners won and the Pukes whine and cried to the NCAA that we were "cheating". Hence the rule.

I thought it was funny when the lOSUr band announcer called their band "The State's Band" Then when OUr band came out, OUr guy made sure to point out that "Just back from New York City, were they represented the entire state in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the 2007 PRIDE OF OKLAHOMA!" That my friends, is uber pwnage!:texan:

I could honestly care less about bands (excluding ours), but I give some recognition to A&M and anyone who can impress me. Im not going to hate on a band just because they aren't ours. I reserve that for football teams. But seriously, I wasn't even that far from the field and I could barely hear the osu band. They were not playing very loud.

i was in the upper deck on the west side and could hear them just fine. in fact, they were louder than the pride in the 1st half. in the second half the pride kicked it up a notch and sounded pretty dang good. thats my opinion at least. not trying to start an argument, my main point was to emphasize that they had a screaming trumpet that was loud as hell for the entire game. dude was maynard loud.
