It also puts to end the "karma", "ironic", "eerie" and whatever threads. We didn't lose our last game last year. :pop:

Actually it did matter to us, quite a lot. We still have to beat the Pokes. Beating them by a whole lotta points would be awesome, but I'll settle for one.

Fran resigned then walked off the stage as Bill Byrne started to read his statement.

85 should probably start a thread about Fran resigning.

I didnt get that text message.
I wonder if it will be in the next issue of Fran's "newsletter"?

heh

If he had opened his offense the way he did today a lot earlier he maybe could have kept his job. Today he had already written his resignation before the game, maybe even told the team. No reason to be conservative and not let it all hang out.

Of course, it helped him a lot that our defense stunk it up again. 30 points should be enough against A&M even if the offense did take a half off. The off season can't get here soon enough.

The basic mood amoung alot of us Ags was "where has THIS been all year?!?!" This was the offense so many of us expected this season but never saw until today ... and Fran was play calling much more like he did in the 2004 OU game than anytime since.

As for the Horns, it's been awhile since they've had to deal with losing to us and OU in the same season. It's a first in the Mack Brown era with the last time being, I think, in 1997. Texas has alot of questions going into the offseason, at least on defense.

Now Oklahoma needs to go out and put a beatdown on the Pokes.

Which part did you consider "aggy"? The resignation was written before the game, as well as the deal negotiated days ago. If he hadn't kept his team ultra conservative all year he may very well have been able to keep his job. Our defense, especially pass defense, DID suck and our offense took the first half off.

All pretty much just facts.

I am most amazed by our defensive coaches. Anyone who has seen our last five games should know that aggy was going to throw the ball. Everyone throws the ball against us.

Now, if I said we just "ran out of time", then THAT would be "aggy". We had 60 minutes and we got whipped. And it makes me want to puke.

I am pretty sure Mack Brown has used that exact line so I guess it makes it horntastic.

To be truly aggie he would have had to have said something like "Just wait until swim season, gooners."
