Good unnecessary roughness call imo, by the Big 12 official. At least there's one ref who doesn't have a problem making an unpopular albeit correct call in a hostile setting. It looked like on the replay it may have been for a head-slap but the ref was on the opposite side of the slap.

After seeing all the corn posters smack after Keller enrolled at UNL and they way Ganz has played late in the season vs the way Keller played until he was hurt, I'm not sure it would be ever worth it to grab a Sr. transfer QB unless you were just down to the bottom of the QB barrel. I watched Keller play vs Wake and USC and he reminded me of Bomar in that he was going to throw it right through defenders on a line, where Ganz appears to have that ability to see the open area ahead of the receiver and throw the ball to that area with touch. He's missed a couple of those ""area touch throws ahead of the receiver, but not by much and the weather in Boulder today is not the greatest for putting touch passes to a tightly covered receiver right on the money.

Boy, as frustrated as I was over losing to Tech last week, losing to them in Lubbock by 7 without Sam isn't so bad...losing to Colorado was just brutal, especially knowing we had a 17 point second half lead. Colorado just flat sucks...arguably the worst loss of the Stoops era, especially how we had been playing in September leading up to that. Almost inexcusable.

The Buffs are brutal...Hawkins has NO arm strength and any team should be able to play man to man on their receivers an dbring the house.

And I looked this up. If Colorado loses this game, it will be the third team Stoops has lost to that finishes with a losing record, along with 5-7 Notre Dame from 1999 and 4-7 OSU from 2001. Texas A&M finished 6-6 in 2002.

Switzer lost to ONE team that finished with a losing record and that was a fluke...1984 against Kansas when Danny Bradley was out and 17 year old Troy Aikman was brutal for the OU offense. The only team close to that was Stanford at 6-5, but OU was not used to facing that kind of offense.

Yup...OSU in 2001 and Colorado this year are easily Stoops worst two losses.

If LSU is the best college football team in America it is a sad state of affairs in college football. At home, lethargic with a very average quarterback. Arkansas is as inept a team as you can find (McFadden for Heisman...now THAT'S a joke!) and LSU cannot even score a touchdown yet. Ugly football all the way around. The way USC played last night they would crush LSU. I really like Kansas/Missouri winner to have a chance against them...heck, I think Georgia could beat LSU next week and end their title shot...which would be golden.

I must admit, that reading Hawkins blog is not anywhere near the top of my internet agenda. They like that cheet up in Boulder though, Neuheisel and his guitar and taking the team snow tubing, etc, etc.
I think Hawkins is a pretty fair coach. CU obviously made some quality defensive adjustments at halftime, and I wouldn't be surprised if Hawkins didn't give Peterson some insight when we played Boise State last year. After going for it on 4th down at Iowa State and then not sending the word in to snap the ball immediately after the whistle on the 2nd FG, I think Hawkins needs all the yoda and Peter, Paul, and Mary lyrics Hawk Love he can pull out his azz, not to mention a new barber. It's still amazing to me that CU went down to Lubbock and just pretty much stuffed the Tech offense. After watching the Buff's DBs step it on defense today, I can sort of understand how they did it. I wish our DBs could play opposing receivers as closely and the Buff DBs did in the 2nd half today.

Pellini gets another interim job. It would be fitting if that happened that OU would win the Big 12, WV would lose, and LSU would go to NO without Lester.
