well I was gonna retire to the sofa and watch the rest of this game, but since my buddy ron is here I'll stick around.

I was in Hawaii a couple of years ago during the Fresno State game in Norman. Only home game I missed since I was 10 years old. But it was free trip to Hawaii............Blonde Sooner Girl had to make my excuses and answer all the amazed questions by the other season ticket holders around us.

Anyway I had to wake up at some un-Godly hour of the morning, take a Taxi from the NorthShore into Honolulu to a Sports Bar that was the only place on the entire Island that had the game on TV. They pretty much opened up for me and 6 other Sooner fans that live there. It was kinda cool. It became a blowout fairly early so I went back to the beach and my buddy that used my tickets sent me text score updates.

I was really supposed to stay another day on business and miss the UCLA game but I could not do it. I left Hawaii Friday at around 6:00pm, got back home around Noon Saturday took an hour nap since their was a screaming baby on the plane the entire way and went to the tailgate for the 2:30 game, stayed at the tailgate until 8:00pm after the game went home and slept until about 6:00pm Sunday.

Next time I miss a home game, well, I'll have a really good excuse.............................
