You'd figure that would be true but even having six nat'l championships prior to the 2000 season we still rushed the field when we beat Nebraska. So what does that say? It's a spurr of the moment type ordeal.

It's people wanting to be a part of something bigger then they are as an individual. The peeps in the stands didn't play in the game, but they want to feel that "they" somehow were a part of it.

Do you remember when we beat TCU in Fort Worth in either 98 or 99 and a bunch of our people rushed the field. Dont throw stones in a glass house.

Beating TCU is something we should always do.

We don't rush the field when we beat A&M anymore...And the way things are going, you Sooners might not have to worry about us getting excited about beating OU for much longer....just sayin'

BTW: Isn't it a compliment when another teams fanbase feels like a win is so great that they rush the field?

To be fair, Tech has beaten one ranked opponent at home every year since 2000. Just wish it hadn't been our turn.
