Actually the scheduled interview is next week at 3:00. Unfortunately UCO won't want him at this point and he'll be looking at some high school in the panhandle.

The word is that Carr steped down but is still in the system per se and will have some input into his replacement and evidently it is well known in the CF world that there is no love lost between him and lester.

I don't think BS would go but it would be interesting to see what Mike could do with a full funded program. Lets face it AZ is never gonna be a top teir team no matter who is there as long as AZ ST, SC and UCLA are vying for the same talent.

That said, I thought it was interesting that the Michigan radiio guy was getting interviewed by some talking head on Sirius Channel 120 this evening. The interviewer went through the usual bs and made the statement about how to select the next coach "you list the top 50 coaches that run a program the way you want yours to be run and narrow it down from there?" The Michigan guy says "yeah, like Stoops, not sayin' he is being considered, but just for example." I kid you not.

Michigan would be a lateral move for Stoops or Lester. Les would only go because of his ties there. I only say it is a lateral move because it is so much freakin easier to get to the title game in the Big Ten than the SEC or Big XII. No conference championship game to worry about and you get to beat down Notre Dame every year.
