2007 Semi-Finalists (In alphabetical order)

Gary Barnidge - University of Louisville
Travis Beckum - University of Wisconsin
Chase Coffman - University of Missouri
Fred Davis - University of Southern California
Jermaine Gresham - University of Oklahoma
Darius Hill - Ball State University
Dustin Keller - Purdue University
Martin Rucker - University of Missouri

Finalists will be announced one week from today

Pettigrew from OSU and the TE from Arizona would be good additions. Although I only saw one game of the TE from Az.

Pettigrew was on the watch list back in July.

Out of all of the semi-finalists on the list, Gresham is the only one that wasn't on the pre-season watch list. For whatever reason, they had Eldridge on that list...personally I would have expected them to put Finley on there, except the voters might have been confused seeing both Jermichael Finley and Joe Jon Finley on the list.

Also, in my opinion, unless Gresham has a huge game on Saturday, I'd expect Coffman, Rucker, and Beckum to be the finalists, and either Coffman or Rucker to win it.

I'm very happy that Gresh made the semi-final list. Wild that Mizzou has both TEs on the list. Can't say I disagree that they deserve to be there, but wow.

"Leading touchdown receiveing." No way he compares yardage-wise to the Tight ends-slash-wideouts at places like Missouri.

Amazing that they have the big XII second team TE on the finalist list, rather than the first teamer. :rolleyes:
