What package do we run D today?

In the past OU has usually played with 2 linebackers or at times 1 with 4 down linement and 5 ot 6 dbs depending on how many linebackers. I believe it was last year that OU played 3 linebackers even against passing teams because they believed their was enough speed in the linebacker corp to cover the underneath routes and sometimes down field.

I dont know that they have that kind of confidence this year and I expect a lineup something like

M Walker R. Smith

Nic Harris L Holmes D J Wolfe




Good thing about Baker is he is like having an extra DB with his speed and ok cover ability(not good for a safety but good for a LB). Lots of Cover 3 and 4, especially when TT sends 5 receivers, with Harris doing some different things (Blitzing some) and maybe Lendy rushing the qb some.

I'm with STEP on this one, though I do see us throwing in the occasional change up to keep Tech a little off balance.

This is a game where we really coulda used English, but I think we'll be okay based on a few things I saw last week.

The tackling package as well as a really good cover the best receiver in the country while he's running into the corner of the end zone package would be awesome too. I know it's asking a lot but hey, we can always dream!
