No matter how hard I try I can't hate Good Charlotte and Bowling for Soup. I don't understand it, but I enjoy them for some reason. Same goes for Hootie and the Blowfish.

Basically, if they had big hair an wore makeup in the early 80s, I should hate them but don't.

Poison, Cinderella, Whitesnake, Bullet Boys.

I like Nickelback. Rock Star cracks me up every time I hear it.

Motley Crue has stood the test of time IMO and deserves to be considered one of the best rock bands that the USA has ever produced whether you love em or hate em. BTW, they'll have a new album with all new stuff coming out some time next year hopefully.

motley crue has NOT stood the test of time. what test?

shout out the devil is a good record. and shout out (not to the devil but) to Mike Rich....the Crue version of Helter Skelter is WAY better than the sludge pile that is U2's pompous version on Rattle and Hum.

i do it, everybody does it, we get it in the 80's sucked/90's sucked threads.....just cause you liked it when you got yer drivers license and got a little trim doesn't mean it's a great record...or underrated...or any of that BS.

the first Skynard record is hella better than anything that was on MTV.....

Paragraph 1: Some of their stuff is just as fun to listen to now as it was the day it was released 25 years ago, which is a pretty good test. For all of Too Fast for Love's production faults, there's some good tracks on there. As you said, Shout at the Devil is a great album. Theater of Pain was very good as well. Girls, Girls, Girls was a bit of a decline but still a solid effort. Everything after has been kind of "Meh."

Paragraph 2: Agreed. I still like U2, damn it! But yeah, Crue's version of Helter Skelter is great. Their version of "Teaser" is pretty good as well. In fact, Crue's a pretty solid cover band.

Paragraph 3: By definition, if I got trim to it, it's a great record, damn it. Color Me Badd should have won a Grammy for "Best Record for Gettin' a Kinda Dorky Guy Laid." Edit: OK, CMB sucks. But they got me laid a LOT junior year of high school.

Paragraph 4: Agree.

King Crimson

Their album Play Deep was actually pretty good all the way through. You reminded me of another one from the same time period...A-ha.

The Outfield rawks (or used to rawk), and I'll fight any man or woman who says otherwise.

I still like the band Loverboy for some reason. Is that wrong? If so, I don't wanna be right.

King Crimson

i would take issue with yer idea of rocking. if mindless boy-girl pop catchy stuff with some faux heavy guitar, cliches, and pop hooks is your thing....hardly anyone was better at that than the Outfield on their first LP.
