STILLWATER, OK -- Oklahoma State University Football Coach Mike Gundy visited with Barry Bonds at Eskimo Joe's today with the intention of offering him a football scholarship. "Look how big he is." stated the coach, "He could be real useful on our defense!" Gundy's comments apparently generated by criticism on how the Cowboy's defense has given up a fourth-quarter average of 210 points per game. When asked why he thought Mr. Bonds would even consider playing football, much less in north central Oklahoma, Coach Gundy responded, "Hell, Texas didn't want him!". When it was pointed out the it was the Rangers that held no interest in the elderly slugger, Gundy responded, "That ain't true!". Finally this reporter asked about the possiblilty of his invited new player ending up in jail, he said, "That's okay, we can get a few games out of him, until he pleads guilty."
